Trail Food and Cooking – South West Coast Path


I've had a few questions about what I eat on the trail, and food is of course a favourite topic of conversation amongst all long distance hikers!
Below is my routine for the South West Coast Path. It's different to Te Araroa Trail New Zealand, as resupply is so much easier. Even so, I carry at least 3 days worth of food with me, as the smaller villages and hamlets only have tiny grocery stores, or nothing at all. SWCP Day 32. Soar Mill Cove to Slapton Ley nature reserve

Today's distance walked - approx 27.5 kms (17 miles).
Ascent - approx 1045m (3428 ft).

I woke at 5.30am, wiped the dew from the my tent and got under way as soon as I could. As I left, I killed around 10 baby ticks which I found on my hands and legs again.
