Te Araroa Trail Taumarunui – Zero Day
I took another rest day in Taumarunui today, along with most of the other TA’ers 🙂
We had our safety briefing with the canoe company Taumarunui Canoe Hire, in preparation for next week’s trip. Karen was great and looked after us really well, even ferrying us around to the post office and supermarket… “Going the extra mile” doesn’t even come close to describing it.
While we’re talking brilliant service, Anna at the Taumarunui isite really excelled herself in the customer service stakes when arranging our trip yesterday.. smiley, super- friendly and totally calm under the barrage of questions from all of the TA’ers..
Equally, everyone at the Taumarunui Holiday Park has been amazing! This town really does punch above its weight in the customer service department.
We’re back on Te Araroa trail tomorrow… and it looks like a rainy week coming up- yikes! ooh, and I swapped in my second pair of shoes today!
